Build a foundation of healthy eating and learn how to create
your own personal eating plan. A review of the major nutrients illustrates how our
eating habits can impact our health and quality of life. This class emphasizes that
by simply monitoring portion sizes and making manageable changes to current eating
behaviors we can control our weight and keep ourselves healthy. In these classes,
you will:
- Identify key recommendations from the 2005 Food Guide Pyramid
- Understand how to read food labels
- Determine how to make healthy food choices
Definitely made me think of why, when, what I'm eating and I am shopping
with more attention to eating grains and more colorful vegetables. Also looking
